‘The Future Is Female’ project is a dedication from all at FirstCom Music to help create a more diverse, inclusive, and even playing field for women in production music. As Producer, Christina May, said at launch; “The inclusion of women, especially in this business, is something I’m super passionate about so [The Future Is Female has] been a passion project for me. There are so many female composers and musicians and engineers that are out there, and they’re underrepresented in production music.”

Cabri is an R&B/Pop artist on the rise, based out of Los Angeles, CA. For the past year or so, Cabri has been writing and cutting vocals behind the scenes for MTV, VH1, USA Network, TLC, Bravo, and many more of the biggest TV shows and networks in the industry. With a clean, polished and top-tier quality vocal, Cabri has solidified her place in the game. Cabri’s signature has always been a smooth and buttery vocal, razor sharp penmanship and an undeniably clever wheelhouse of vocal production.
Devan has been pursuing a music career since she was a kid; the brazen 10-year-old dropped off a homemade demo – to no avail – at the iconic Olympic Studio, home to Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Wonder and David Bowie. While distinct, Devan’s voice may sound familiar. She has spent the last 6 years honing her talents as a songwriter and live performer with Wild Rivers; the folk-pop band that she co-found and co-fronts, boasts over 140 million global streams and sells out venues across North America. The band’s 2019 release, “I Do”, scored Devan the top prize at the International Songwriting Competition placing her in front of judges Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Tom Waits and Bebe Rexha.
Hailing originally from a small town on the east coast, Gloria Kim is a Korean-American artist, songwriter, producer and DJ. She has had her songs in award winning TV shows like Empire (Fox) and on the official soundtrack for the film ‘This is the Year’ by Selena Gomez and David Henrie. Spinnin’ Records has praised her ‘blissful vocals’ and her unique tone and smooth melodies have gained her millions of plays. Her production music has found success as the featured track by Snapchat for their Asian Pacific American Heritage Month filter in 2020. When she’s not writing, recording, or producing, she is DJing popular venues and luxurious events for high end clients.
Olivia Knight is a 19-year-old singer/songwriter from San Diego, CA with an exceptionally bright future. Her self-released EP ‘Gravity’ gained critical acclaim and eventually landed her a deal with Platoon in 2019. Through Platoon she released the single “Wind Up” which has amassed over 1M plays across streaming platforms.
Sadie Rose Van
Sadie Rose Van is multi-talented singer, songwriter, and musician from Southern California. Having watched her mom perform on the local music scene, Sadie knew as early as the age of 3 that she too would perform. Sadie started writing music and performing at the age of 13. She quickly began to be acknowledged for her talents on a national level. Sadie was then signed as an artist to Ingrooves/UMG in 2019. Sadie’s hit, “Celebrate”, became Disney/ABC Television’s title song for the 2020 International Emmy Awards. Sadie has a working relationship with movie trailer composers Mark Hannah and Isaac Hanson. Her original sound has evolved during quarantine as she continues to write original tracks for herself and other artists.
Hailing from Los Angeles, singer and rapper Shardé has a special west coast flavor that is the force behind her artistry. Shardé is a vocal powerhouse and her ability to blend her vocal power over a smooth hip hop beat is her signature. In one song she is able to deliver soulful vocals and a head-bobbing rap verse creating her unique sound. As a well-rounded artist, she believes that hard work and determination is the key to any pursuit. Her great attitude, professionalism and positive disposition makes her easy to create with. Keep an eye out for this rising star. She is on her way to greatness.
Tammy Infusino is a singer/songwriter transplant from the east coast. She’s sung background vocals for the likes of Drake & Kanye West, penned a gold single for European superstar Milow, and has placed about a dozen songs for the KPOP market, with artists like Twice, Oh My Girl, Z-Girls & Ben. Frequent collaborations include Robopop, Frequency, The Eleven.
Guest Spot: Philip Lassiter
Rooted in Texas Funk, Alabama Gospel, New Orleans Jazz, and Nashville Soul, Philip Lassiter is an 11-time Grammy award winning horn/string arranger, and former section leader/arranger of Prince and the New Power Generation. Currently based in L.A., Philip has quickly garnered respect as the go-to arranger and trumpet player for iconic artists such as: Prince, Ariana Grande, Anderson Paak, Timbaland, Jill Scott, Kelly Rowland, Fantasia, Yelawolf, Queen Latifa, Roberta Flack, The Isley Brothers and many more. Philip has performed on stages around the world such as the Essence Festival, Montreaux Jazz Fest, Bonnaroo, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon.
